Parker Building Supplies' support partner charity Teenage Cancer Trust

Parker Building Supplies regularly support a number of local charities, schools and other worthy organisations, but this year we named Teenage Cancer Trust as our main partner charity.

ALL IN A GOOD CAUSE
Parkers staff run, jump, climb, box
and even grow their hair
to support Teenage Cancer Trust

Teenage Cancer Trust exists to improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer. TCT cancer units cater for everything young people need to be kept fully occupied and entertained during their stay - computers, TVs, juke boxes or simply a pool table. TCT also fund frontline staff such as Youth Support Co-ordinators and Nurse Consultants. Teenage Cancer Trust do not receive any government funding, so they rely on voluntary donations.

How Teenage Cancer Trust could help you ...

Think you have cancer?

You know yourself better than anyone, and if you've noticed a change in your body or something is worrying you, it's worth talking to someone and getting yourself checked out.

Understanding cancer

You may just have found out that you have cancer - and it isn't easy to get your head around. There are lots of different types, names and techie terms used to describe what's going on in your body and how you're feeling.

Just diagnosed

If you have been told you have cancer, or someone you know has, you may be uncertain about what it all means and a bit scared. Finding out a bit more about it can really help.

Finishing treatment

"People assume that having cancer is just like having the flu and that I should just fit back into my previous life with ease."

How TCT can help you

At a time when your body is changing, your social life is everything and you're still trying to figure out who you are, getting cancer can seem like an impossible blow to take. But we can help you.

Talk to young people

It can make a huge difference to how you're feeling and show you you're not alone.
