Chandlers Building Supplies
Chandlers trace their roots back to over 150 years ago when James Chandler Builders Merchants first began trading in Sussex. Chandlers Building Supplies in its current form, started trading as a limited company in 1993. A strong name in supplying both building materials and roofing materials, Chandlers is made up of Chandlers Building Supplies branches and Chandlers Roofing Supplies branches.
There are 8 branches of Chandlers Building Supplies – these are located in Sussex, Surrey and Kent. As well as supplying all building materials, Chandlers also specialise in roofing, timber, groundworks, bathrooms and kitchens.
Respected Roofing Merchants
Chandlers Roofing Supplies has 7 branches (and another 2 due to open soon) – in the West Midlands, London, Surrey and Kent. These branches are roofing merchants which can supply all roofing materials for pitched and flat roofs, fascia and cladding. As well as their stand alone roofing branches, a number of Chandlers Building Supplies branches have dedicated specialist roofing departments too. These are in Brighton, Ringmer and Banstead.
Chandlers roofing branches each carry an extensive range of both concrete and clay (machine made and handmade) tiles so their teams can match your requirements accurately. Several branches also stock a variety of reclaimed roof tiles.
For those who work on flat roofing projects, Chandlers stock a range of traditional bitumen and torch-on felts as well as GRP and EPDM. If you need roof windows, Chandlers roofing are stockists of VELUX & Dakea roof windows so can work with you to fulfil any roof light requirements.
You’ll find a wide range of breather membranes, roofing batten and roofing slates at Chandlers. The roofing branches are also well stocked with roofing slate – fibre cement and natural, roofing shingles, sheeting, timber, ventilation and rainwater products.
The roofing team at Chandlers are highly experienced, with many years spent in roofing merchanting. They will be able to help with take-offs, calculations and tile matching as well as being able to source hard to find roofing products.
Groundworks & Civils Experts
Chandlers have been specialists in groundworks and civil engineering supplies for over 20 years. The dedicated groundworks team is based in the Ringmer branch and they are incredibly knowledgeable about groundworks materials. The range includes uPVC, clay and concrete pipework to large diameter concrete manhole and soakaway rings, ducting pipe and fittings. Other products include geotextiles, flag and kerb, linear drainage and manhole covers and frames.
Drainage is a key part of the groundworks range; this includes clay drainage as well as concrete drainage plus products such as manhole rings and road gullies. From metal gratings to inspection chambers, Chandlers can help source what you need.

Bathroom Design Specialists
Chandlers has a highly experienced bathroom team who are based at the bathroom showroom in Lewes, East Sussex. They can help with all elements of planning and purchasing bathrooms from their bathroom design service to advising on bathroom solutions. The bathrooms department work closely with leading brands including Pura, Crosswater Group, Kudos Showers and the iconic luxury brand, Villeroy & Boch.
Chandlers Bathrooms offer a variety of bathroom suites from budget to luxury as well as a comprehensive range of commercial sanitary ware, plumbing and heating fittings. Shower enclosures, shower fittings, taps and bathroom furniture are also available from Chandlers with the team on hand to advise when needed.
The bathrooms team also offer on site visits across the South East which will take as little as 30 minutes to allow for measurements to be taken and ideal bathrooms to be discussed. The kitchens department in Parkers and Chandlers have already teamed up to become one super team of kitchen experts with decades of experience in the industry between them.

The kitchens department offers 27 colour ways and over 170 carcass colours which enable you to bring the exact kitchen you had in mind to life. And all kitchens are competitively priced too. Fairalls Builders Merchants
Fairalls is a builders merchant that traces its roots back to 1900. With 4 branches, Fairalls branches can be found in Godstone (2 branches), Sevenoaks and Gatwick. Fairalls Builders Merchants is a well known name with both trade and DIY markets in their local area – they supply all building materials to professionals and the public alike.
Loose Aggregates
The Taylors Hill branch in Godstone boasts being one of the largest heavyside yards in the South East. With a huge yard, this branch is likely to have in stock the building materials you are after from bricks to timber and landscaping to lintels.
Another key offering of the branch is that it stocks large amounts of both loose and bagged aggregates. This includes a wide range of natural stone such as rockery stone and decorative chippings as well building staples such as sand.
Lightside Building Materials
The Godstone High Street branch of Fairalls offers a huge range of lightside building materials and attracts DIY and trade customers for miles around. The branch has generous stocks of paints, power tools, workwear, plumbing supplies and so much more. Services available here include paint mixing and key cutting too.
Landscaping Supply Experts
Fairalls are well known in their local area for supplying landscaping materials including fencing materials. With a comprehensive range of paving including porcelain and sandstone in stock, the Fairalls team are ready to help with your landscaping needs.
