We regularly meet builders who have had bad experiences with suppliers in the past. From long delays to costly replacements, these past issues unsurprisingly lead to distrust on future projects.
That’s why we’ve partnered with Multi-Turn, the South’s leading bespoke staircase manufacturer. With so much experience in the industry, they’ve finessed a tried and tested approach to creating their fit first time stairs that support builders big and small, on projects of all types.

One of the most important elements of all their projects is ensuring that your stairs will fit first time and comply with building regulations. The last thing
Your staircase is a central part of your home’s entire design. That’s why choosing a supplier, who provides the right quality and fit, is so important.
As the South’s leading timber staircase supplier, Multi-Turn know a thing or two when it comes to building and refurbishment projects. To help advise you on the common pitfalls to look out for when choosing your supplier, they’ve put together this useful guide.
1. Does the Supplier Have a Good Reputation?
Choosing a reliable supplier with a good reputation is half the battle. It’s easy for suppliers to make false claims about the service they provide. But by looking at their portfolio, credentials, previous reviews and case studies, you can be confident your staircase supplier has the right expertise to deliver the staircase you want.
We are inviting customers to join us at a trade event taking place in our Newhaven branch on Monday 6th September. We'll have suppliers with us to give live products demonstrations and we'll also have some fantastic prizes to be won! You can grab a free continental breakfast throughout the morning too. The event will be running from 8am until 12noon.
Which suppliers will be attending our event?
Rockwool
Rockwool will be with us on the day to demonstrate the benefits of their stone wool insulation products. You will see first-hand how effective their range is, boasting sound absorbent, fire resistant and moisture repellent properties amongst others.
This video highlights the impressive strengths that stone offers and how these translate into invaluable properties for insulation.
As a builder, you’ll undoubtedly want to make a profit on your housing project – whether it’s a one-off, high-end build or a larger site of 30+ homes. When it comes to leaving a house at the forefront of buyers’ minds at the point you look to sell, it’s the small edges that will make all the difference.
Investing in your staircase will not only create the lasting wow factor a buyer wants from a home but will also really hold its value to help you secure your desired price. Our chosen timber staircase supplier, Multi-Turn, tell us how.
First (and Last!) Impressions
Traditionally, staircases have been built to be practical, serve a purpose and meet standard specifications, but in most homes, the staircase is the first and last part of the property you see - so making a visual impact is important! It immediately sets the tone for the rest of the house and

An innovative tape from Walther Strong, specially designed to protect decking, offers an effective way to weatherproof a deck frame. The tape can be used to completely protect and seal a new or existing timber frame.
The most common area for deck frame weather damage is where the joists are exposed between the boards. This tape is designed to be applied along the top of the joists before the boards are installed to eliminate this issue. It is manufactured from a strong polymer acrylic adhesive, giving excellent performance. A completely water-proof weather resistant solution from -40C to +93C with no cracking, peeling or strength loss.
